着物を染める工程と同じ手描友禅染の技法で仕上げた
「石楠花(しゃくなげ)」の染額です。

花の部分は手描友禅、葉の部分はろうけつ染を利用したせき出し友禅、
背景はボカシ染めという複数の技法を用い、
本来、高山植物であった石楠花が、深山で静かに咲いている神秘的な情景を描いています。

壁掛けのインテリアとして、
和室にも洋室にも合う雰囲気に仕上げています。

染額を通して友禅の美を身近に感じて頂けると幸いです。

表面の細かいテクスチャー加工が味わい深い、

This is a dyed panel artwork of "Shakunage" (Rhododendron), created using the same hand-painted Yuzen dyeing techniques used for kimono production.

The flowers are rendered with hand-painted Yuzen, the leaves with Sekidashi Yuzen, which utilizes wax-resist dyeing (Rōketsuzome), and the background with a gradation dyeing (Bokashi) technique.
By combining these multiple methods, the piece captures a mystical scene of rhododendrons—originally alpine plants—quietly blooming deep in the mountains.

For use as a wall-hanging interior piece, particular care was taken in selecting the frame, resulting in a design that harmonizes beautifully with both Japanese- and Western-style rooms.

We hope this dyed panel allows you to experience the beauty of Yuzen up close.

For this work, we created two versions with different frames so you can choose according to your preference and the atmosphere of your space.
